Meet our Crew
Captain Gabriel Viviers brings more than seven years of professional yachting experience across private and charter programs in the Caribbean, Bahamas, U.S. East Coast, and beyond. A South African national now based in Florida, he holds an IYT Master 200GT Unlimited (Celestial), RYA Personal Watercraft Instructor, STCW10 with security duties, and numerous advanced OOW courses, with his OOW 3000 oral exam scheduled for November 2024. His career progression from deckhand through bosun, mate, and now first officer has given him a well-rounded foundation in navigation, safety management, and guest-focused operations. Gabriel has overseen daily vessel operations on yachts over 140 feet, managing deck teams, maintenance, refits, safety drills, and compliance checks while also running tenders and water sports programs. His background includes extensive navigational experience in the Bahamas and Exumas, shipyard supervision, and assisting in the successful transition of large vessels from private to full charter use. Guests value his calm leadership style, strong communication, and ability to maintain both safety and enjoyment at the highest standards. Active and adventurous, Gabriel is also an avid surfer, diver, kitesurfer, and spearfisherman. His energy and passion for the ocean carry through to his work on board, where he creates an atmosphere of confidence, professionalism, and fun. With a proven track record, technical expertise, and a guest-first mindset, Captain Gabriel ensures that every charter is not only seamless and safe, but also memorable and deeply enjoyable.
Paige grew up just outside New York City, but her true home has always been the water. She spent every summer exploring the rugged coastlines of Maine living aboard her family’s sailboat, where she found her love for the ocean and sailing. Paige has recently decided to take a break from her career as an elementary school teacher to pursue her passion full-time as a yacht chef aboard Dolce Vita. From a young age, Paige spent a vast amount of time in the kitchen experimenting new recipes with the freshest of ingredients. In the kitchen, Paige’s creativity shines through her love for fresh, local ingredients, bringing the essence of every destination to life in her dishes. Paige’s adventurous spirit extends beyond the ocean—she’s an avid traveler with a desire to explore every corner of the globe. Meeting new people and immersing herself in different cultures is what fuels her sense of discovery. She leads an active lifestyle and loves spending her free time outdoors, engaging in her favorite activities including, but not limited to surfing, snorkeling, hiking, waterskiing, and rock climbing.
Kendal Cole is a South African stewardess and certified massage therapist who combines wellness expertise with strong interior service skills. She holds her STCW10, Silver Service Level 2, and stewardess training certifications, along with advanced studies in natural and holistic therapies, massage therapy, and Pilates instruction. With experience on both sailing and motor yachts up to 62m, she has built a reputation for balancing professional service with a wellness-focused guest experience. Kendall has worked as a sole stew, 2nd stew, and wellness stewardess across a variety of programs, including busy charter operations and long-term refits. Her responsibilities have included interior management, laundry, housekeeping, provisioning, table service, cocktail preparation, and event setup, while also delivering daily massages and wellness support for guests. Known as the “wellness stew” on one program, she also led Pilates classes and tailored her skills to create a calm, guest-focused atmosphere on board. Energetic and approachable, Kendall thrives in high-paced charter environments and is equally comfortable managing details behind the scenes or engaging directly with guests. Her ability to pair interior service with massage and wellness offerings adds a unique dimension to the charter experience, making her a versatile and valuable member of any crew.

Wow! What a trip! What a boat (Tryst)! And most importantly what a crew! Gabriel, Paige and Kendall were all fantastic. I don't have a frame of reference since this was our first time chartering a boat, but I can tell you without question the crew is very important. Gabriel was our captain and was very knowledgeable and always willing to answer any questions we had. Paige made some fantastic meals. Not one miss the whole trip. Kendall was always there if we needed a drink and somehow had all of our beds made and rooms cleaned before you could blink an eye. They are also really good people and we enjoyed their company. If had any complaints or criticisms, and I usually do, I would list them. But I honestly can't think of any. We were a group of 8 and that was the perfect amount. The boat fit is all well. Enough room to all gather for meals but also plenty of spots to get away or nap. Beds and bathrooms were comfortable. Every spot we visited was beautiful. I think Jost Van Dyke was probably my favorite. If your going to charter a boat in BVI just pick this one and this crew and your going to love it!!

Absolutely phenomenal week aboard the Tryst. 'Rael, Paige, and Kendal were ridiculously good-everything was well planned, and on point for what we wanted. They were also flexible and accommodated a few mid-trip changes. Cannot speak highly enough about both the crew and boat!

We had an absolutely incredible week on Tryst, and the experience exceeded every expectation. The entire crew made our trip unforgettable.
Paige was an amazing chef who prepared delicious meals every single day. Every dish was beautifully presented and we looked forward to every meal! She was so kind and the attention to detail in her meals didn't go unnoticed.
Kendal was exceptional with hospitality and truly made us feel at home from the moment we stepped onboard.
She was attentive, thoughtful, and always one step ahead of anything we needed. Her massages were also incredible and the perfect way to relax while enjoying paradise.
Gabriel was an outstanding captain who knew all the best places to visit. From secluded beaches to beautiful snorkeling spots, every stop was perfectly chosen. His knowledge, professionalism, and friendly personality made us feel completely at ease throughout the trip.

My family and I are at the end of a vacation spent on Tryst with Gabriel, Paige, and Kendal. It was nothing short of spectacular. The service was out of this world. Kendall's massages, drinks, and exercise classes were top notch. Paige's cooking was fabulous. It may be the best week of meals I've ever had! And Captain Gabriel was awesome manning the shipping and taking us ashore for our excursions. I would highly recommend this for a luxury vacation of a lifetime!

This past week we spent the most amazing week aboard The Tryst with Authentic Yacht Charters. It was without a doubt the most amazing vacation we have ever had! Captain Gabriel (rielz), Paige and Kendal were the most perfect hosts. They made us feel welcome, relaxed and completely taken care of!
Captain Rielz planned the perfect trip around the islands and share perfect snorkeling spots and great rock jumping spots for the kids!
Paige was the most amazing chef, taking such care and expertise in preparing amazing and delicious meals.
Kendal was awesome in literally every way. She anticipated our needs before we had to ask for anything.
Fantastic drinks, unbelievable massages and workouts on the boat every morning if we wanted! One of our favorite memories was beach Olympics at Soggy Dollar! The crew didn't only organize it, the participated! We laughed until we about passed out (literally!!!!) and those moments captured the sprit of the whole trip! Tryst is a beautiful Yacht but the people made it the most memorable. We felt like the crew was family by the end of the week! We cant wait to see them again! The Tryst had an Amazing crew with positive upbeat attitudes, easy going and very committed to our needs and happiness. Talked thru our day to day activities and asked us about any time adjustments as needed to accommodate food on an off the boat. The captain Gabriel was experienced and knowledgeable about the boat and our mapped out locations and provided his insight and advice.
The Chef Paige made us meals that were above expectations and ensured all of us were well feed with snacks in between meals if requested.
The first Mate Kendall was amazing and gave us the best message ever. Every morning she asked us how we're are doing and made sure we were comfortable and in good spirits.
Highly recommend this trip to anyone looking for a great week on the water.

Chef Paige's meals were nothing short of amazing-every dish was delicious and beautifully prepared. Gabriel took us to some of the most breathtaking locations, creating unforgettable memories at every stop. And Kendall was simply outstanding! Her attention to detail, warm personality, and incredible massages were the perfect addition to an already amazing week. She also makes a fantastic Pain Killer!
This trip had 3 generations and everyone had an absolute blast!

BVI experience on Tryst
We had an amazing week in the BVI on Tryst! Gabriel planned an incredible vacation for us and executed everything perfectly! He is a wealth of knowledge and made our trip comfortable and enjoyable. Our chef, Paige, made the most wonderful meals! The creativity and presentation was incredible! We looked forward to each one. Paige was kind enough to make a special birthday cake for our friend, Bob's, birthday. We will talk about this vacation with our friends for years to come!

Riel planned and navigated us to amazing stops that had breathtaking views and snorkeling. Paige prepared the most amazing breakfast, lunch and dinner. Healthy , creative and beautifully presented. Kendall, kept us happy with drinks and beverages. She motivated the group with morning pilates and gave us the most relaxing massages! She kept our rooms cleaned and was always tidying up the boat and placing our “misplaced” items in lost and found. We were all surprised how much we loved the boat, crew and the BVI.
We can’t wait to come back again for another vacation.

Amazing trip
We cruised on Tyrst with Captain Gabriel, Paige and Kendall. What an awesome trip! Delicious food from Paige at every meal. Great stops in the BVI. Wonderful massages by Kendall, she is talented. Captain Gabriel is incredibly knowledgeable about a million different things. One of our friends caught a tarpon on the trip! All around an over the top experience!! Highly recommended!!

Bucket List Experience!
Our recent charter sailing the BVIs aboard the Tryst was truly an incredible bucket list experience! The boat was amazing - spacious, luxurious, and well maintained - and the crew - Captain Gabriel, Chef Paige, and Stew Kendal - was absolutely fantastic. We were a group of 12, including 8 adults and 4 kids, and they catered to our every need with a balance of professionalism, kindness, and fun that were truly a highlight of the trip. Captain Gabriel planned and executed a perfect itinerary, Paige made excellent healthy and creative meals for both adults and kids, and Kendal enthusiastically spoiled us with fitness classes and massages. They were all incredibly hard working but still made time to chat with us and share life experiences, which made the trip even more meaningful. Truly a 5 star hospitality experience! This was easily one of the best trips we have ever been on and we would not do it with any other crew in the future. Highly recommend the Tryst and this crew!
Unforgettable!
Our recent charter on Tryst was an unforgettable experience! Captain Gabriel, Paige and Kendall were attentive, fun and gave us a 5 star experience. Captain Gabriel brought us to the best spots and checked in frequently. Paige made excellent meals and Kendall went above and beyond with Pilates classes and massages.
The most endearing part was we travelled with my parents who have some hearing and mobility issues and our daughter who is a very picky eater. Each person in the crew paid special attention to my parents and daughter, thought of how to help them and made sure they were comfortable. Their kindness shined and it made the experience all the more memorable.
